Inner Mongolia University, referred to as Neida for short, is one of the 88 national key universities identified by the State Council 1978, one of the national 15 famous universities included in Concise Encyclopedia Britannica, and the only national key university in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region under the "2 1 1 Project".
