Shenyang Gong Li University, founded in 1948, is the first undergraduate military academy established by our army in Northeast China to train military talents urgently needed by new China. He was one of the "Seven Soldiers" in the Republic of China, and was once named Northeast Institute of Military Engineering and Shenyang Institute of Technology.

It successively belongs to Northeast Military Department of China People's Liberation Army, Central Ordnance Industry Bureau, Ordnance Industry Department, National Machinery Industry Committee, Machinery and Electronics Industry Department and China Ordnance Industry Corporation. From 65438 to 0999, it was placed under the management of Liaoning Province and renamed in 2004.
