Guangdong Ocean University, the organizer of the college, is a provincial key construction university with the right to award master's degrees. It is a multi-disciplinary ocean university with the characteristics of marine fisheries and the coordinated development of science, engineering, agriculture, literature, economics, management, law and teaching. In 2007, the expanded textbooks achieved excellent results in the evaluation of undergraduate teaching level of the Ministry of Education. There are 60 undergraduate majors and 15 master's degree authorization points. Guangdong Ocean University is responsible for the teaching organization and management of Cunjin College, employing management cadres as college leaders, sending outstanding professional teachers to take charge of teaching, guiding the construction of disciplines and specialties, and building professional brands. The school's profound cultural heritage and excellent educational resources have created conditions for Cunjin College to run a school from a high starting point and develop by leaps and bounds.
According to the social and economic development and demand, the college has established the school-running concept of "three bases and one guarantee", that is, determining the direction of talent training according to social demand, setting majors according to social demand, and formulating education and teaching content according to social demand to ensure the quality of talent training. Under the guidance of this educational concept, the college is undergoing gratifying changes. At the same time, in order to broaden students' knowledge, our college implements the system of double majors and major and minor.
Since its establishment, the college has continuously improved the conditions for running schools. Construction of the new campus began in 2007 and was put into use in September 2008. The new campus takes gardening and ecology as its concept, and fully considers environmental protection and energy saving. Relying on and retaining the original natural and environmental conditions, ingenious conception and exquisite design can realize the harmonious blend of man and nature, architecture and nature. The current construction area is 1.7 million square meters, including 80,023 square meters for teaching and administration and 8 1.942 square meters for living. The experimental equipment is 28.2635 million yuan, and the library has more than 370,000 books. Student apartments are equipped with desks, computer desks, wardrobes, telephones and campus broadband networks, and students' study and living conditions are getting better and better.
