Johns Hopkins University, founded in 1876, is a private comprehensive research university located in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. It is the first research university in the United States and one of the founding schools of association of american universities (AAU) 14. The National Science Foundation ranked this university as the university with the highest research expenditure in the United States for 33 consecutive years.

The school's Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is the cradle of modern American physics talents, and also the contractor of the US Department of Defense, the Hubble Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope ground control center. With the support of the founder of Morgan Consortium, Hopkins gave birth to the first and most prestigious conservatory of music in America.

The main campus of Hopkins University covers an area of 140 acres, which is picturesque and located 3 miles north of Baltimore's Fuxing Inner Harbor.
