The Technology Roadmap for Energy-saving and New Energy Vehicles 2.0 issued by China Automotive Engineering Society replaces the idea of "no-burning period" with "all-round electric drive plan", and classifies plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) and pure electric vehicles (BEV) as new energy vehicles, while fuel cell vehicles (FCEV), extended-range hybrid vehicles (REEV) and ordinary hybrid vehicles (HEV) belong to them.

In the process of transition from fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles, hybrid vehicles have become a transitional product of automobile manufacturers, but with the passage of time, traditional fuel vehicles will be fully transformed into new energy vehicles.
