Academic expertise
Liu Jiaoshou has been engaged in contrastive linguistics teaching and teaching Chinese as a foreign language for more than twenty years, and has a certain academic influence in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. He is a member of the expert group of Hanban Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and has participated in the proposition, marking and relevant policy formulation of the National Qualification Examination for Chinese as a Foreign Language for many years. As an expert of Hanban Chinese teaching to train foreign Chinese teachers, he has given lectures in Canada, Australia, the United States, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions. He has published five books and textbooks on linguistics and education for foreign students, and published more than 10 academic articles. He has served as a tutor for master students in linguistics and applied linguistics, a tutor for doctoral students in Chinese language and philology, and directed more than 20 master students and doctoral students and foreign students in Chinese. For many years in a row, he was rated as an excellent teacher of international student education in Jilin Province.

Content abstract: An Introduction to Linguistics is a 250,000-word monograph on general linguistics, which tells the basic principles and knowledge of linguistics. This book organically combines traditional linguistic theory with structuralist linguistics, systematically and deeply expounds the nature, function and mechanism of language, the relationship between language and nature and society, the development of language and the interaction between languages.
