Wuyi University, located in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, is a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering. He is a member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance, a high-level university of science and engineering in Guangdong Province.
Wuyi University was established by Guangdong Provincial People's Government on 1985. 1990 became a bachelor's degree awarding unit. 1996 became a qualified undergraduate teaching unit. 1998 became a master's degree awarding unit. In 2008, the undergraduate teaching level evaluation was rated as excellent.
As of February 2023, the school campus covers an area of 1 1,000 mu with a total construction area of nearly 700,000 square meters. There are 20 teaching institutions and 82 undergraduate majors (directions); There are 7 first-class master's degree authorization points, 3 second-class master's degree authorization points and 5 professional master's authorization categories; At present, there are nearly 1.200 full-time teachers and nearly 24,000 students of all kinds, including nearly 20,000 full-time undergraduates and nearly 1.300 graduate students.
As of May, 20021,the school has 6 national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, 5 national specialties and national specialty comprehensive reform pilots. There are 9 provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, 39 provincial key (famous brand) majors and provincial applied talents training demonstration majors. There are 1 national college students' off-campus practice education bases, 24 provincial college students' practice teaching bases, 5 provincial demonstration teacher education practice bases and 4 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers.
