Yao Qizhi's introduction
Yao Qizhi, born in Xiaochang County, Xiaogan City, Hubei Province, is a world-famous computer scientist, winner of Turing Award in 2000, academician of American Academy of Sciences, academician of American Academy of Arts, foreign academician of China Academy of Sciences, professor of advanced research center of Tsinghua University and professor of Bowen of Chinese University of Hong Kong. 1967 received a bachelor's degree in physics from Taiwan Province Provincial University, 1972 received a doctorate in physics from Harvard University, and 1975 received a doctorate in computer science from the University of Illinois. 1975- 1986, successively served as assistant professor and professor in the department of mathematics of MIT, the department of computer science of Stanford University and the department of computer science of the University of California, Berkeley. He has been a full-time professor in Tsinghua University since 2004. In 2005, he became a professor at the Bowen College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. 1 Currently, he is the dean and professor of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Information, Tsinghua University.
