Nanjing University responded that the employment rate of colleges and universities in Jiangsu was the lowest last year.
Morning News Recently, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education announced the employment rate of colleges and universities in Jiangsu in 2006. As the leading university in the province, Nantah ranks second from the bottom. In this regard, the relevant person in charge of Nantah said yesterday that the ranking of employment rate is caused by many factors, and it is unscientific to judge the quality of a university only by this ranking.

Gao Fenghua, deputy director of NTU Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center, said in an interview that NTU graduates have always been the target of major employers. Excluding a few students' blind comparison and wait-and-see, all students who are willing to work can find jobs with 100%.

According to its analysis, the employment of college students in South China presents three characteristics. First, a large proportion of undergraduates choose to continue their studies. The proportion of undergraduates going abroad for further study, entrusted training and directional training exceeds 50%, and 36.7% are employed by agreement. In terms of graduate students, the former category accounts for 43.6% of the total number, while the actual employment exceeds 50% of the total number; Second, the level of employment is high. In the contracted employment, the proportion of undergraduates and postgraduates working in the world's top 500 enterprises is close to 10%. It is worth noting that more than 50% of the graduate students went to institutions, and more than half worked in colleges and universities. Other major units of postgraduate work include well-known state-owned and private enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises, governments, banks and four major accounting firms. The situation of undergraduate graduates is slightly different. Except nearly 10% of the students work in the world's top 500, most of them work in well-known state-owned enterprises and private enterprises. Thirdly, based on and serving Jiangsu, most graduates work in economically developed areas. The data shows that more than 50% of undergraduate and graduate students work in Jiangsu, followed by Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong and other coastal provinces. 15% of graduates work in cities in the central and western regions of the country.

The relevant person in charge of NTU said that the so-called employment rate ranking of colleges and universities is only the order of data differentiation from statistical tables, but there are various reasons and specific situations behind it. He believes that people who pay attention to the employment rate of colleges and universities, especially college entrance examination candidates and their parents, can't judge the advantages and disadvantages of colleges or majors only by the employment rate ranking.
