Guangzhou Jiaotong University (to be established) is located in the south of Huangpu District, Guangzhou, east to Longtoushan, south to Dashadi East Road, west to Ye Jing Road, north to Zhuangyuan Mountain, near Shuanggang Station of Metro Line 5 (under construction).

On the basis of the former Huangpu Campus of Guangzhou Navigation College, the total investment is nearly 654.38+000 billion yuan, which is listed in the Preparatory Project Plan for Key Construction in Guangzhou in 2023 to cultivate applied talents with discipline characteristics.

In 20 18, Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Guangzhou Municipal Committee clearly established Guangzhou Jiaotong University on the basis of Guangzhou Maritime College. In May, 2023, Guangzhou Jiaotong University has completed the compilation of the project survey, the joint review text of design scheme and the feasibility study report, and started construction in mid-2023 as planned.

Facing the frontier disciplines, the school takes the discipline of transportation engineering as the leader, focuses on transportation engineering, transportation equipment and traffic management, and gives priority to the development of rail transit, maritime transportation and road transportation related majors around the development direction of transportation industry in Guangzhou and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and gradually expands the air traffic service related majors.

Conditions for running Guangzhou Jiaotong University:

Guangzhou Jiaotong University (to be established) is located in Shuangsha Community, Hongshan Street, Huangpu District. The total construction area of the project is 560,000 ㎡, including 460,000 ㎡ planned by Guangzhou Jiaotong University (to be built) and 97,000 ㎡ planned by supporting middle schools, primary schools and kindergartens.

Guangzhou Jiaotong University (in preparation) has officially started the recruitment of teachers, recruiting nearly 100 professors at home and abroad, focusing on cultivating three types of talents: academic leaders, academic leaders and academic backbones. It is understood that at present, the newly-built campus of Guangzhou Jiaotong University (to be built) has basically completed land acquisition, and it is initially expected to start enrolling students in 2023.
