The PLA Army Medical University is located in Chongqing, a municipality directly under the Central Government. It is the first batch of national key universities after the founding of New China, one of the key construction institutions of the "2 1 10 Project" of the army, the pilot university of the "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program", the first batch of authorized units for doctoral degrees in China, and the first batch of eight-year medical education universities in China.
