Application process

1. Plan your study abroad in advance.

Success in studying abroad must be planned in advance. To successfully achieve the goal of studying abroad, it is generally necessary to objectively evaluate one's own conditions, make preparations in all aspects, including preparing funds in advance, taking various necessary exams, and planning and implementing one's extracurricular activities in a targeted manner.

Consciously cultivate their ability of independent thinking and independent learning, and at the same time, if possible, obtain first-hand information from foreign universities and majors or get advice from professionals, determine a timetable and work arrangement for applying for studying abroad, and then implement it step by step.

When making a study abroad plan, there are four points to pay attention to in the choice of regions and schools:

1) Select a country.

For China students, the most important considerations are the country's educational level and its own economic capacity, as well as long-term development plans and expectations.

From the perspective of English-speaking countries, the main countries studying abroad are: the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia and so on. Non-English-speaking countries mainly teach in English in the Netherlands, and mainly teach in local languages in France and Germany. Every country has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the specific choice should be based on the needs of individuals and families.

2) Choose a major

From the perspective of strengthening career planning, study abroad consultants suggest that you choose your major first and then your school. Because the professional study in the university is very likely (except the case of changing careers, of course) to be an educational capital for a student to settle down in the future. On the one hand, we should combine our own specialties and hobbies.

On the other hand, if you want to choose a major with development potential, you can't blindly pursue hot majors, or you can't choose your favorite major because you admire the "reputation" of the university.

3) Choose a school

A good university is not necessarily good in all majors. How to judge whether a major in a university is a strength? On the premise of determining the major, we can refer to the academic reputation, research results, teacher level, admission difficulty, graduate employment, starting salary and other indicators of our school in this professional field.

4) Choose a city

Urban living index, the cost of living in big cities is generally higher than that in small cities, mainly reflected in rent; Urban climate conditions are warm in winter and cool in summer or four distinct seasons; The population of the city and the number of students in China. Some people like a city with a large population in China because it is easy to get along with and take care of, while others like a city with a small population in China because they think it will help them integrate into the local society.
