Academician Tang, 193 1 10 was born in a scholarly family in qianxixi, Wuxi city, Jiangsu province. His first teacher when he was young was his grandfather, Mr. Tang, a famous educator in China and the first president of Jiaotong University. /kloc-in the autumn of 0/949, he graduated from Shanghai Nanyang Model Middle School and was admitted to Beijing Tsinghua University. 1952 graduated from Tsinghua University physics department. He has worked in the Institute of Modern Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, the Institute of Atomic Energy of the Second Machinery Department in Beijing, the Dubner Joint Nuclear Research Institute of the Soviet Union, the Ninth Institute of Qinghai Nuclear Industry Department, the Institute of High Energy Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, the Electron Synchrotron Center in Hamburg, Germany, and the European Nuclear Research Center in Geneva, Switzerland. Currently, he is a professor at Zhejiang University, a doctoral supervisor, and an adjunct professor at Peking University and the University of Science and Technology of China.

It has made valuable contributions to satellite space radiation dose measurement, particle detector research, particle physics experiment and nuclear technology application in China. Editor-in-chief "Experimental Methods of Particle Physics" won the first prize of 1983 National Excellent Science and Technology Book and published more than 60 papers. The State Council was awarded the title of national model worker, and the State Science and Technology Commission awarded the title of young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions. 1979 was rated as a national model worker. 1980 was elected as a member (academician) of the Department of Mathematical Physics of China Academy of Sciences.
