Yantai University is an undergraduate university directly under the provincial level, and its president is equivalent to a bureau-level cadre.

But now this corresponding level no longer exists.

According to the Outline of the National Medium-and Long-Term Talent Development Plan (20 10-2020), the third paragraph is "Innovation of system and mechanism". Article 2 "Improve talent management methods":

Overcome the tendency of administration and "official standard" in talent management, and cancel the actual administrative level and administrative management mode of scientific research institutes, schools, hospitals and other institutions.

Now the university has gone to administrative management and abolished the administrative level corresponding to the official position.
