1, school philosophy

Conscientiously implement the education policy of the Party and the country, embody the spirit of the times that "education should face modernization, the world and the future", and realize the combination of "specialists" and "generalists", the combination of humanities education and scientific education, and the combination of general education and professional education in accordance with the concepts of quality education, lifelong education and personality education, so as to cultivate the virtues of "thick foundation, wide caliber, wide caliber". 2. Method of running a school

(1) Attach importance to ideological and moral education and the construction of teaching style and study style.

(2) Optimize the teaching plan and training mode as a whole to reflect the educational characteristics of architecture major in our school.

(3) Strengthen the overall management of teaching quality and improve the teaching management system. Establish a three-level teaching quality management system for schools, colleges and departments to ensure that teaching work is completed as planned and according to quality.

(4) Strengthen curriculum construction. We not only pay attention to the construction of design courses, but also pay attention to the combination of technology, planning, historical theory and other related courses with design courses.

(5) Carry out in-depth teaching research. From the aspects of educational development, teaching content and methods, teaching means and practical links, we should optimize teaching content, reform teaching methods and means and improve teaching efficiency.

(6) Taking discipline construction as the leading factor to promote the integration of Industry-University-Research. Make full use of all kinds of topics and practical engineering projects hosted by teachers in our college, encourage senior students to participate in project research and carry out exploratory learning, so that students can initially have the ability of scientific research and practical engineering design.

(7) Closely combine social reality and regional economic development to broaden students' professional horizons. Make full use of the advantage that the school is located in Guangzhou and there are many excellent works by famous architects at home and abroad, and use the off-campus practice base in Hong Kong to organize students to go to Hong Kong for professional inspection every year to actively broaden their professional horizons.

(8) Combine in-class and out-of-school, develop the second class, actively organize students to participate in various scientific and technological activities and design competitions, and run their own academic journals well.
