Investigation report on college students' reading situation

Gorky once said: Books are the ladder of human progress. From small to large, books are like my inseparable partners, growing up with me. The following is a survey report on college students' reading compiled by me. Welcome to read!

I. Survey background

For college students, reading thousands of books, taking Wan Li Road and traveling have become a popular way to broaden their horizons. However, reading thousands of books has become difficult. Now with the temptation of online games, movies, dramas, etc. Or is the study time compressed again and again in the face of a more colorful college life? Reading e-books on mobile phones has become more and more simple and convenient, but are paper books still popular with students? Then, can college students still read famous books and have a boiling passion as in the past, or have a new and broader reading field, or immerse themselves in online novels? And what is the attitude of students towards professional books and bestsellers that are in full swing now? These are the problems I investigated and studied in this investigation report.

(1) Investigation time: 20xx August 5th, 20xx August 12.

(II) Survey objects and methods: Through the form of online questionnaire survey, with the help of social networking sites such as Sina Weibo and Renren.com, the survey scope was expanded, and the survey objects were college students from all provinces. The data will be counted through the completed questionnaire and presented as a percentage. Finally * * * received 122 questionnaires.

(3) Survey content: Survey the reading time, reading habits, reading fields and college life of college students. See the questionnaire attached at the end of this article for details.

(4) Survey data:

1. Received a valid questionnaire 122, including 56 males (about 45.90%) and 66 females (about 54.10%); There are 50 freshmen (about 40.98%), 70 sophomores (about 57.38%) and 2 juniors (about 1.64%). So it is mainly a freshman and a sophomore.

2. The survey results of favorite reading methods and their approximate proportion are: about 53. 1 1% students read paper books, about 28.08% students read e-books and online books, and about 18.80% students read newspapers and magazines. It can be seen that paper books are still the main way for college students to read. However, with the development of the times, e-books and online reading are also growing rapidly.

3. On the question of whether to study every day, only about 19.67% students chose yes, about 55.74% students chose to do it basically, and 24.59% students chose no, only reading occasionally. More than half of the students can read books every day.

4. With regard to the average reading time every day, about 6.56% students read for more than 3 hours, about 67.2 1% students read for between 13 hours, about 22.95% students choose less than 1 hour, and about 3.28% students choose not to read at all. From this point of view, most students spend about 13 hours on reading every day.

Besides textbooks, students will read several books every month on average. About 6.56% students choose 0 books, about 73.77% students choose 65,438+03 books, about 65,438+04.75% students choose 46 books and about 4.92% students choose more than 6 books.

6. How many books did you read during the summer vacation? About 6.56% students choose 0, about 50.82% students choose 65,438+02 (including 2), about 34.43% students choose 34 (including 4), and only about 8.2% students choose 5 and above.

7. Facing the rich university life and time arrangement, different students have different tendencies. What are they most concerned about? This question gives the answer. About 14.75% of the students prefer to study, and when they are bullies, about 27.87% prefer reading to enrich their knowledge, about 14.75% prefer watching movies to relax, about 3.28% prefer surfing the Internet to enjoy their time, and about 29.56438+0% prefer it. Because I probably like many parts of college life, this question is set as a multiple-choice question, from which we can evaluate which aspect college students value most. From this sample, joining a club and taking part-time exercise are the most popular, followed by reading. Therefore, contemporary college students still attach great importance to cultivating their own abilities and qualities.

8. As for the usual reading place, about 55.74% students choose the library, 36.07% students choose the self-study classroom, 73.77% students choose the dormitory, 55.74% students choose the home, 22.95% students choose the bookstore, 1.64% students choose the canteen and 6.56% students choose the canteen. It can be seen that dormitories, libraries, homes and self-study classrooms are still popular reading places.

9. As for the main sources of reading, about 70.49% students buy it themselves, about 55.74% students borrow it from the library, about 42.62% students borrow it from others, about 55.74% students download it to their mobile phones, about 32.79% students read it online, and about 3.28% students choose other ways. It can be seen that buying books from the library and downloading them to mobile phones is the main source of reading.

10. About what kind of books do you like, about 59.02% students choose literary masterpieces, about 50.82% students choose popular novels, about 34.43% students choose historical biographies, about 2 1.3 1% students choose economic management, and about 40.98% students choose economic management. About 19.76% students choose natural science, about 6.56% students choose military, about10.64% students choose law, about 32.79% students choose professional books, and about 14.75% students choose others. The top three are literary classics, popular novels and life inspiration, but professional books are still not enough.

1 1. In which literary works do you prefer, about 72. 13% students choose novels, about 8.2% students choose prose, about 3.28% students choose poetry, and about 1.64% students choose others, about/kloc. So novels are still the first choice for students.

12. About 22.95% students choose to actively read books related to their major, about 67.2 1% students choose to read some books, and about 9.84% students choose never to read. Most students will read some books recommended by teachers and related to their majors.

13. About 19.67% students will take reading notes, about 34.43% will not, and about 45.9% will take notes occasionally. A considerable number of college students have the habit of taking some reading notes, but a considerable proportion of students do not have the habit of taking reading notes.

14. As a general practice, about 59.02% of students choose to read it in the fastest time, about 14.75% choose to read according to their own plans, and about 2 1.3 1% choose to take it out and turn over two pages when they have time, which is about 4.92%. So more than half of the students are still interested in reading, but pay attention to whether their favorite extracurricular books (even novels) will affect what they originally planned to do.

15. Regarding the evaluation of reading quantity, 0% of the students think that they read a lot, about 4.92% choose more, about 62.3% choose average, about 22.95% choose less, and about 9.84% choose less. It can be seen that most college students still don't study enough, and even less knowledge is gained from it.

16. Whether college students will pay attention to and read bestsellers, about 3 1. 15% students will choose to pay attention, about 60.66% students will only know but not read, and about 8.2% students will choose not to pay attention. Most college students know that this is a sign of keeping up with the times. They should not turn a blind eye to the trend of the times, but they should also carefully screen and choose books that are suitable for them and beneficial to their development.

17. About 24.59% students think that online novels have distinct characteristics of the times and are more in line with the tastes of young people. About 22.95% students think that making full use of modern carriers is beneficial to communication. About 14.75% students think that the content and writing skills need to be further improved, and about 37.7% students think that the overall taste is not high and the quality is poor. Most students are not optimistic about online novels, just to have a pair of eyes in the mixed pile of books. Of course, it is undeniable that there are some excellent online novels, but they can't just be used as recreational tools.

18. Reading should be a qualitative or quantitative problem. About 34.43% students choose to read less and read with quality. About 27.87% students choose extensive reading to understand the main idea and read more books. About 37.7% students chose to pay equal attention to both quality and quantity, which of course takes more time. In this way, the proportion of the three answers to this question is almost the same, so different students make their own different choices on this question. How to read in a fixed and quantitative way deserves our consideration. Should I squeeze out more time to study, or do some reading notes to improve my reading quality?

On the topic of 19' s reading motivation, the percentage of choosing this option in the total number of valid questionnaires is about 83.6 1%, which improves academic performance by about 16.39%, broadens knowledge, keeps pace with the times by about 52.46%, improves personal quality and taste by about 57.38%, and kills time by about 45%. It can be seen that for college students, reading is not absolutely utilitarian, and most reading comes from hobbies. Improving personal quality is also one of the goals of college students' reading, and it is also very helpful to shape their future life. Today, with the emphasis on all aspects of quality development, reading is indeed a good way for college students to broaden their knowledge.

About the biggest confusion of reading, about 2 1.3 1% students choose not to know what to read, about 14.75% students choose not to know how to read, about 19.67% students choose not to know the meaning of reading, and about 57.38% students. Relatively speaking, it is impossible to remember and use after reading, which has become a reading puzzle for college students. How to apply what we have learned may also be a problem that we should think about during reading.

2 1. Reading brings the greatest help. About 9.84% students choose to learn a lot of knowledge, which is helpful for their study. About 29.5 1% students think that reading is conducive to establishing correct values and outlook on life and improving their own quality. About 2 1 and 3 1% students think that reading makes full use of their spare time. It can be seen that reading has always brought positive effects to college students. For these samples, it is also out of their own subjective initiative that expanding their horizons and knowledge is particularly helpful to college students.
