Starting from Yishan County, leaving the East Gate and walking for hundreds of meters, it is a dilapidated compound with a sign of "Military Management Zone" hanging at the door. The former site of this hospital was the standard camp in the Republic of China. When Zhejiang University moved westward to Yishan, the local government gave up the bid camp and took Zhejiang University as its headquarters. The rest of the teachers and students set up branch schools in the Confucian Temple in the city.

History goes back to 1937. After the July 7th Incident, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression broke out in an all-round way. Faced with the large-scale military attack by the Japanese invaders and the wanton destruction of China's cultural and educational undertakings, China's colleges and universities began an arduous journey to the west in order to save the nation and preserve the national cultural strength. Several famous universities moved to Sichuan and established the National Southwest Associated University. Under the leadership of President Zhu Kezhen and the strong support of the people along the way, Zhejiang University has made great achievements in teaching and scientific research in hardships, and has been praised as "Cambridge of the East" by Needham, an internationally renowned scholar in the history of science, and is a model in the westward movement of universities.

Zhejiang University maintains a complete school-running system and important school-running resources, insists on carrying out high-level teaching and scientific research activities, serves the local society along the way, spreads knowledge, develops people's wisdom, and promotes the development of the western region. Peng Zhen praised Zhejiang University as "a literary army" after the westward movement, which is not only an arduous and magnificent practice of modern universities to carry out education, scientific research and social services, but also fully embodies the noble character and spiritual outlook of China intellectuals who are indomitable, hard-working, dedicated to science and serving the people, and has special representativeness and historical and cultural value in the history of the westward movement of colleges and universities.
Zhejiang University moved westward to Yishan for one year and four months, where it established its motto and school song of "seeking truth" and has always regarded Yizhou as the "spiritual home" of Zhejiang University. Standing on the old site, you can't imagine that hundreds of teachers and students of Zhejiang University used to do morning exercises, read books, think and study here. There used to be a teaching building and playground of Zhejiang University, with the sound of books and the footsteps of a master of wisdom. Also surprised and angry, when the Japanese plane's 1 18 bomb blew up the humble school building, precious teaching and experimental instruments, and the only piano in Zhejiang University that walked through Qian Shan!
On February 5th, 1939, 18 enemy planes bombed Yishan, dropping 1 18 bombs. More than a dozen houses in the standard camp of Zhejiang University were destroyed and more than 100 students' clothing supplies were robbed. The environment here is not stable, and many teachers and students suffer from dysentery and malaria because of acclimatization. Zhu Kezhen, the headmaster, tried to find another suitable place and prepared to move to the school again when necessary. In June, I decided to move to Guizhou. /kloc-in the spring of 0/940, all the teachers and students of Zhejiang University moved to Zunyi and Meitan, Guizhou.
