Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, which is the key construction of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the first batch of "2 1 1 project" was built. It is also a key university under the project of "985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform". It is a multi-disciplinary research university characterized by information technology, focusing on engineering, and coordinating the development of production, management, literature and science. It is an important information technology talent training base in China. In 20 17, two discipline groups, "information network science and technology discipline group" and "computer science and network security discipline group" entered the ranks of first-class discipline construction.
The school insists on moral education and takes root in the fundamental task of running a good university in China. The school has always shouldered the feelings of home and country, that is, "spreading the national pulse of Wan Li". After more than 60 years of construction and development, full-time education has formed a school-running pattern with rich information background, distinctive professional characteristics and outstanding academic advantages since 1955 was founded. The school has 18 teaching units, including information and communication engineering college, electronic engineering college, computer college, automation college, software college, digital media and design art college, modern post-modern college, cyberspace security college, photoelectric information college, science college, school of economics and management, humanities college, Marxism college, international relations college, online education college, continuing education college, ethnic education college and sports department. There are three research institutes and a graduate school, namely, network technology, information photonics and optical communication, sensing technology and industry, and trusted network communication 20 1 1 collaborative innovation center. At present, disciplines have covered 9 disciplines, including science, engineering, literature, law, economics, management, education, philosophy and art, involving 22 first-class disciplines. School information and communication engineering, computer science and technology, electronic science and technology were rated as Class A disciplines in the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, among which information and communication engineering achieved excellent results of A+.
The school has Xitucheng Road Campus, Shahe Campus, Hongfu Campus and Xiaoxitian Campus, with research institutes in Wuxi, Jiangsu and Shenzhen, Guangdong respectively. There are nearly 23,000 full-time undergraduates, doctors, doctoral students and international students, and nearly 55,000 part-time students are officially registered.
In recent years, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, focusing on the major strategic needs of the country, guided by the strategic goal of strengthening the country by network, followed the law of running higher education, and firmly established the career-oriented thinking in accordance with the strategic thinking of "comprehensive reform and scientific development", and initiated the comprehensive reform of school education. In March 2008, the Ministry of Education officially announced that our school passed the "Undergraduate Teaching Level Assessment" with "excellent" results, which marked a new step in the quality of talent training in our school. In recent years, our school has achieved good results in the selection of hundreds of excellent doctoral dissertations, national excellent courses, Beijing excellent courses, national bilingual teaching demonstration courses, excellent textbooks for general higher education, national teaching teams, Beijing excellent teaching teams, national education achievement awards and Beijing education achievement awards. For a long time, the employment rate of students in our school has been maintained at the leading level of universities in China. Excellent achievements have been made in major competitions for college students at home and abroad, represented by English, electronics, mathematics and physics competitions, and they are among the best in domestic universities. For nine years in a row, the exhibition and exchange meeting of college students' innovation and entrepreneurship achievements, the innovation and entrepreneurship forum and the exhibition of graduate students' innovation and entrepreneurship achievements were established, and the students' innovation and entrepreneurship practice activities achieved excellent results.

At present, our school has teams of academicians from China Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering, foreign academicians, chief scientist of Project 973, innovation research group of National Natural Science Foundation, innovation team of development plan of innovation team, national candidates of *, * and "100 million talents project in the new century", national outstanding contribution experts, winners of National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars and winners of "Cross-century Excellent Talents Program" of Ministry of Education. Winners of "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program", Beijing excellent teaching team, Beijing rising star of science and technology, provincial and ministerial "young academic leaders", provincial and ministerial "outstanding young backbone teachers", experts enjoying special government allowances and national famous teachers are the backbone of a strong teaching team. Teachers with doctoral and master's degrees account for 88% of the total number of full-time teachers, and there are nearly 100 foreign teachers.
-Focusing on the construction of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform", the discipline construction has been continuously strengthened and the discipline layout has been further optimized. At present, the school has 10 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degree, 22 first-class disciplines authorized by master degree (including 10 first-class disciplines), 7 professional master degree authorization points, 43 undergraduate majors and 6 post-doctoral research stations. The discipline covers nine disciplines, including science, engineering, literature, law, philosophy, economics, management, teaching and art, and initially forms a multidisciplinary interdisciplinary pattern with outstanding advantages of information science and mutual support of engineering, management, literature and science. In the construction of key disciplines, our school has 2 national key disciplines, 7 Beijing key disciplines and 8 ministerial key disciplines.
-Strengthening the construction of bases and promoting the healthy development of scientific research. Our school has a number of high-level scientific research bases represented by the State Key Laboratory, the National Engineering Laboratory, the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, the National Defense Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education, and the academic innovation and intelligence introduction base of the Ministry of Education. There are 2 national key laboratories, 5 national engineering laboratories (including 2 leading laboratories and 3 cooperative laboratories), 2 engineering research centers of the Ministry of Education, 5 "1 165438 innovation and intelligence introduction bases" of the Ministry of Education, 9 Beijing laboratories 1 and 9 key laboratories at various ministerial levels. Based on the base construction and team construction, the scientific research work in our school has shown a rapid growth trend in both quality and quantity.
