Dr. Wu Jun graduated from Computer Department (undergraduate) and Electronic Engineering Department (master) in Tsinghua University, and 1993- 1996 worked as a lecturer in Tsinghua. 65438-0996 studied for a doctorate at Johns Hopkins University in the United States, and obtained a doctorate in computer science in 2002. During his time in Tsinghua and Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Wu Jun devoted himself to speech recognition, natural language processing, and especially to the study of statistical language models. He was awarded the Best Paper Award of 1995 National Conference on Man-Machine Speech Intelligent Interface and the Best Paper Award of Eurospeech in 2000.

Dr Wu Jun joined Google in 2002 and is currently a senior researcher at Google Research Institute. Shortly after arriving at Google, he and three colleagues started the research field of anti-cheating in online search, and won the engineering award for it. In 2003, he and two colleagues established the Sino-Japanese Korean Search Department. Dr. Wu Jun is currently the main designer of Google's China, Japan and Korea search algorithm. During his stay at Google, he led many R&D projects, including many Chinese-related products and natural language processing projects, and was highly praised by CEO Eric Schmidt.

Dr Wu Jun has published dozens of papers at home and abroad, and obtained and applied for nearly ten American and international patents. Since 2005, he has been elected as the director of the computer department of Johns Hopkins University.

He is a good photographer, a lover of classical music, and likes to enjoy high-quality movies, such as Blu-ray movies. I usually repair the garden occasionally and even do some carpentry.
