The five major service colleges in the United States all offer highly selective and prestigious bachelor's degree courses. College students-often called interns or interns-don't pay tuition fees, but in exchange for government-funded education, they usually promise to finish their work for the national interest within at least five years after graduation. According to the data submitted by the ranking of the best universities in American news, the admission rate of applicants' colleges in autumn 2020 is lower than 17%. Experts said that students who are interested in participating will start preparing in Grade Two at the latest.

Each college provides extensive fitness and leadership training, combined with rigorous courses, including humanities and science courses. College graduates usually get military commissions with junior officer positions immediately after graduation, although alumni of the Merchant Marine Academy often hold leadership positions in non-military federal institutions.

? What is a service college and how to determine its suitability? The Federal Service College is different from the traditional undergraduate college because it serves a broader mission and aims to cultivate physical, personality and intellectual strength. College students are trained to take the leadership role of demanding and dangerous, which requires the combination of athletic ability, wisdom, courage and integrity. The core courses required by the service college are more comprehensive than other colleges, including a wide range of subjects that are particularly related to the stress and technical occupations that students may engage in after graduation. College students are usually required to study chemistry, engineering, history, law, mathematics, physics, philosophy and psychology, no matter what their major is. During the whole university period, it is usually compulsory to participate in sports.
"You will find that the main difference between the naval academy and other military academies is that you are trained as a leader, not just for academic training," said Jeff Weber, a former Navy SEAL officer, current president and CEO, and a member of the alumni association and foundation of the United States Naval Academy. Alumni said that for future students, one of the best ways to evaluate whether they will do well in college is to visit the campus, or better yet, attend an immersive summer course to provide a preview of the college experience. Summer courses that also need to be applied for can be obtained at the Air Force Academy, Coast Guard Academy, Naval Academy and West Point Military Academy.
