Information and computing science is divided into four directions, and each direction needs different courses. For example, calculating the direction of mathematics requires numerical solutions of differential equations, and there are some other elective courses in calculation.
Generally speaking, compulsory courses are some backbone courses for mathematics majors, and they are the basic knowledge that all qualified mathematics majors should master. So there is nothing to be picky about. . In the curriculum of our college, students majoring in information and design don't need to take topology and differential geometry.
As for elective courses, I have taken the basics of combinatorial mathematics and number theory, heard of substitution theory, applied partial differential equations, complex analysis and so on. In fact, although there are so many elective courses in the list, not all of them can be offered. For example, in the theory of multiple variables, only one or two teachers in our college can open multiple variables.
Moreover, in fact, the course resources that undergraduates can listen to are not only undergraduate courses, but also graduate courses. I also took one or two postgraduate courses.
