Second, the introduction of Shenyang City University
Shenyang City University, formerly the College of Science and Technology Engineering of Shenyang University, was founded in 200 1, and is the first independent college in China. In September 2009, the school moved to Shenyang Green Island Forest Park as a whole, and started running schools independently. On April 20 12, the school was granted the right to award a bachelor's degree. On April 20 13, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was transformed into a full-time private undergraduate college and renamed Shenyang City University. In 20 15, the school was listed as the first batch of pilot universities in Liaoning Province to transform into application-oriented universities by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education.
The school covers an area of 690,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 268,000 square meters. It has paper books10.3 million copies, electronic books10.23 million copies and 5,570 kinds of electronic periodicals. In the landscape garden of the former Green Island Forest Park, the school has built a garden-style campus with complete teaching functions, advanced sports facilities, reasonable living layout and unique architectural style. The campus is backed by Phoenix Mountain and surrounded by Green Island Lake, with elegant environment and pleasant scenery. In 20 16, the school was rated as the most beautiful university in China by Sina. In the same year, it was listed as an environmental education base in Shenyang.
The school has 425 full-time teachers and 25 1 external teachers. Among the self-owned full-time teachers, there are associate senior and above title teachers 160, 344 teachers with master's degree or above, and 237 "double-qualified" teachers. There are 4 experts enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council, Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China/KOOC-0/talent, Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China/KOOC-0/talent, member of the Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education/KOOC-0/person, professional leaders of universities in Liaoning Province/KOOC-0/person, leading talents in Liaoning Province/KOOC-0/person, 2 famous teachers in Liaoning Province and 5 members of the Teaching Steering Committee in Liaoning Province. 20 17 School obtained the right of independent evaluation of the first batch of senior professional titles in private colleges and universities in Liaoning Province.
The school offers 36 undergraduate majors, covering science, engineering, literature, law, economics, management and art, with 9,800 full-time undergraduates. There are 3 first-class undergraduate education demonstration majors in Liaoning province, provincial demonstration majors 1 each, provincial pilot majors 1 each, 2 provincial talent training innovation pilot zones, 2 provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors, 3 provincial key construction majors, 5 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, 7 provincial off-campus practice teaching bases for college students, international joint laboratories 1 each, and 6544 municipal key laboratories. 20 17 School cooperated deeply with the Propaganda Department of Shenyang Municipal Committee, and took the lead in setting up a new school of journalism and communication among private universities in China.
