There are great differences between chemistry and chemical engineering in curriculum, employment direction and training concept. Chemistry focuses on theoretical research, while chemical industry focuses on practical production.

Of course, Tianjin University also has a major in chemistry, but there is still a gap between chemistry and Nankai. National key laboratories, academicians and other first-class talents, all aspects of resources are not at the same level. The chemical industry in Nankai is much weaker than that in Tianda.
