About studying in France
First of all, the most basic conditions for studying in France are high school diploma, college entrance examination results, and admission notice for undergraduate or junior college students. Without these three things, there is basically no way.

Second, applicants from public universities can get good grades in the college entrance examination, but they can get good grades in French.

Third, if you stay in France, study French at home. . . lay a solid foundation

Fourth, in the first year of studying in France, you usually have to study preparatory courses or learn languages. Tuition is relatively expensive, about 100000 RMB in the first year. If you study in a public university in the next few years, it will generally cost 30,000-50,000 RMB a year.

Fifthly, the diplomas of French public universities are recognized by the Ministry of Education in China, but you need to have them notarized before returning to China. If you are employed, it depends on your major and personal ability ~ ~

Finally, the detailed steps of studying abroad are left to you, hoping to help you.

1, looking for an intermediary;

1) learn French -→ 2) find an intermediary -→ 3) apply for a passport -→ 4) take TEF or TCF-→5)CELA assessment -→ 6) embassy visa.

2. DIY yourself;

1) learn French → 2) notarize materials → 3) apply for a university → 4) get three certificates → 5) apply for a passport → 6) take the TEF or TCF exam → 7) CELA assessment →→→→ 8) embassy visa.

1, notarized materials

You need to go to the notary office where your household registration is located or where you work (show your work certificate) to handle the education and birth notarization in duplicate. These two notarial certificates belong to the normal business scope of the notary office and are internationally recognized. (All must be translated into French and attached);

Notarization of academic qualifications: notarize the school where you graduated, the highest academic qualifications, graduation time, professional name and graduation certificate number;

Birth notarization: notarize your name, gender, date of birth, place of birth, nationality and parents' names.

Step 2 apply for a university

Send your notarized materials, an application form and the necessary pre-registration amount to the secretariat of your favorite French university (note: it is difficult for ordinary individuals to get the professional notice of the university).

This application form must contain the following necessary contents: name, gender, age, marital status, domestic detailed mailing address, contact telephone number, and also indicate your major plan for studying abroad, cost arrangement plan, years of residence in France, personal and family economic situation, etc.

After sending this material, if the school approves it, you can receive the pre-admission notice from the university within 2 weeks at the earliest. This material is necessary when applying for a visa!

Step 3 learn French in advance

At present, the French Embassy in China stipulates that you must study in China for at least 500 hours (Shanghai may need 1000 hours), and the certificate for 500 hours will be issued by TEF Examination Center. You may have to take a grade exam during your study, depending on the regulations of French training centers and embassies and consulates.

Note: It is necessary to study French for 500 hours in China. The reason is simple: on the one hand, it will be smoother as far as visas are concerned; On the other hand, in France, if you don't know anything about French, it will cause great obstacles to your study and life. On the contrary, it helps to shorten the period of learning French in France and greatly gain time. Therefore, if conditions permit, try to learn French well, and you can't ignore all objective factors in order to stay in France in a hurry. )

Step 4 apply for a passport

Applying for a passport is relatively simple. At present, the domestic public security departments have greatly relaxed the censorship restrictions on citizens going abroad. You only need to submit the admission ticket, notarized materials, household registration book, bank deposit certificate (stipulated by the local public security organ) and the completed application form to the exit-entry administration department of the public security bureau where your household registration is located.

Of course, during this period, you may need to go to the police station for political verification. For college graduates, they also need to go to the study abroad center of the provincial education commission to receive approval materials. This is mainly to examine the work and service years of college graduates in China (according to the regulations, the state recruits 3 years for master's degree, 5 years for undergraduate course and 2 years for junior college; There is no limit on the service life of trainees, self-funded students and orientation students inside and outside the plan). If the length of service is not full, the national training fee (master's degree is 3000/ year, undergraduate degree is 2000/ year, and specialist degree is 1500/ year, depending on the specific situation of each province) will be refunded. In addition, the Provincial Education Commission also requires the National Security Education Certificate from the National Security Bureau and the bank fund guarantee certificate (this certificate can be the same as the passport certificate).

After the materials are ready, the general public security organ can complete the passport within one week.

Step 5 take the TEF exam

This is a French proficiency test that must be taken according to the regulations of the French Embassy in China. There are three or four exam opportunities every year, which are generally arranged in June, August, September and 65438+February.

TEF examination is conducted and graded by the competent authorities in Paris. The results will be announced about 2 weeks after handing in the papers; The passing score depends on the average level of the current exam. TEF test is a formal international test, which is relatively strict. It consists of two parts: written test and listening test. The written test mainly tests grammar and reading. Scoring method: 1 point per grid, 450 points; Answer one point, mistake one point, no answer, no points. The total score is accumulated and multiplied by 2 to get the final score. (Note: If the TEF score is only used as a visa certificate, you can get an average score. Of course, the higher the score, the smoother the visa. )

6. Visa

Visa is the most critical pass, and all efforts will succeed or fail here. In order to get the visa smoothly, you must make full preparations in advance.

First get the application form from the embassies and consulates in various regions, which generally includes: name, date of birth, gender ... purpose of studying in France, major studied, years of studying in France, domestic work situation, economic source, etc.

Then it must be reviewed in the cultural department. This is a crucial step. Generally, the visa officer will ask some simple conversations (of course, there may be Chinese translation), mainly depending on whether your materials are complete and how TEF scores are. (Note: Everyone may have information. Your ideal advantage lies in your TEF score, so it is necessary to study French well at home! )

Some misunderstandings in studying in France

People usually have some misunderstandings about studying in France:

1. French universities are free of tuition.

The cost of studying in France is lower than that in the United States, Britain and Australia, but it does not mean that it is completely free. Learning a language must cost money. Business schools and technical schools have to pay tuition fees, ranging from 1 000 to 1 000 francs. The "universities" in France are tuition-free-universities are called universities in French, but there are less than 100 universities, and these universities require a high level of French and excellent professional background, so it is difficult for China students to apply. Some elite universities are free of tuition, but few China students can apply.

2. The major of domestic studies is not ideal, so you can change to a more ideal major when you study in France.

Many people feel that their majors in China are not good enough, or they are not in line with international standards, and they want to change to a more ideal major when studying abroad. But ordinary regular schools will not accept students to change majors. For example, it is very difficult to study undergraduate finance in China and transfer to study for a master's degree in law abroad, unless you are willing to start from the first year of undergraduate study. You should choose a major similar to the original major and provide relevant materials to prove your ability in the newly selected major.

Many students think that if they pay the fees, they can choose their favorite study. Good foreign schools will not accept this concept. Some informal schools or private schools will accept such students, but their diplomas are often not very credible and recognized. There is a basic principle in choosing a school: if the requirements are high, the school may be better and the tuition may be lower; Students who are not demanding can recruit all kinds of students. Often the school is not very good, but the tuition is very high.

3. Schools and majors applying for English teaching may not learn French.

To study in France, learning French is essential. It is a cliche that English is not popular in many cities in France. The French are proud of their language. Speaking English in France, some people don't welcome you. You can study in English, but you must live in French. The better your French is, the lower your expenses in France will be.

4. The diploma recognized by the state is the national diploma.

French university diplomas are divided into national and university levels.
