School profile, Suzhou University Law School
Soochow University Law School, 19 15 was founded in Shanghai, and it is the only school in China that systematically teaches Anglo-American law except China law. It was one of the most famous law schools in China before liberation and the first comparative law school in Asia, which made great contributions to the cultivation of talents in comparative law and international law. From 1930 s to 1990 s, there are six China judges in the International Court of Justice, all of whom are professors or graduates of Soochow Law School, starting from Gu Weijun and continuing to Li Haopei, a judge of the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia from 65438 to 0997. The most boastful period in the history of this school was in 1946: the trial in Tokyo was conducted by Anglo-American law, and the Kuomintang government at that time was in a hurry because it could not find a suitable candidate at that time. Finally, Chiang Kai-shek named an important figure in Soochow University. As a result, almost all the judges, prosecutors and consultants who went to the Far East Military Court in China came from this school. In the Far East International Military Tribunal, the Tokyo Grand Trial, which was in charge of hearing 28 Japanese Class-A war criminals, held 8 17 sessions, and brought 28 Class-A war criminals to justice with a slight advantage of 6 votes to 5 votes. In court, all Chinese personnel are from Soochow University Law School, including Xiang Zhexun (prosecutor), Ni (chief consultant), Gui Yu, E Sen (prosecutor consultant) and Qiu Shao.

1949, the Kuomintang government moved to Taiwan Province. Soochow University alumni in Taiwan initiated the resumption of school. 195 1 year, they organized the board of directors and set up Soochow tutorial school in Hankou Street, Taipei, trying to teach politics, business, accounting and English. 1954, the Ministry of Education of Taiwan Province Province approved the establishment of the Restoration Law School of Soochow University in Taiwan Province Province, which consists of four departments of law, politics, economics and accounting and a foreign language department. It is the first private university in Taiwan Province Province. 1957 bought the land of Shuangxi outside Shilin and the land of * * * 15A donated by shilin town CCBA. At this time, Shi Chaoyong took over as dean and actively promoted the establishment of the school.
