Xin Di 1985 graduated from the Music Department of Anhui Normal University, 1992- 1994 studied in the Composition Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, 1994- 1996 taught in the Music Department of South China Normal University in Guangzhou.

During my study, I worked as a solfeggio and computer-aided composition assistant in Duquesne University Conservatory of Music, and was employed by the United Methodist Church as a chorus conductor, organist and pianist. During my master's degree in composition, I took all courses of jazz major in this school.

After receiving his master's degree in 2000, he continued to study jazz band writing at Duquesne University. 200 1 After returning to China, he taught in Xinghai Conservatory of Music, successively teaching composition, harmony, jazz harmony, jazz band writing, jazz basic theory and writing, jazz piano, music painting for the finale, piano collective lessons and piano improvisation.

After returning to China, he actively participated in the construction and reform of music education, and published many papers and music works in People's Music, China Music Education, Music Creation and Journal of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, such as Music Education and Teaching Reform, Curriculum Design and Curriculum Reform, Comparison of Music Education between China and the United States, and Applied Piano Teaching.
