Baidu Encyclopedia shows that the School of Education Science of Chengdu University was founded in 1904, and was merged into Chengdu University after the integration of the former Chengdu Institute of Education, chengdu normal university and Xindu Teachers College. Chengdu Institute of Education is a new type of higher education approved by the Ministry of Education and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and directly led by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education.
