Qilu University of Technology is a comprehensive university in Shandong Province, formerly known as Jinan Institute of Machinery, founded in 1949. It is the first batch of pilot universities in the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", the national college students' cultural quality education base, and a new engineering research and practice project university.

The school is located in Jinan, a famous historical and cultural city, and has two campuses: Changqing Lake Campus and Zhangdian Campus. The campus covers an area of more than 2,800 mu, with a building area of 1 623,000 square meters.
