Tsinghua University Medical College of Clinical Medicine was established on 20 16, with Professor Dong Jiahong, an academician of China Academy of Engineering and an internationally renowned expert in hepatobiliary surgery, as its president.

The college integrates medical education, medical service and scientific research, takes training excellent doctors and medical scientists as its core task, draws on the advanced concepts and successful experiences of international medical education, follows the objective laws of medical education, innovates medical education modes and teaching methods, and builds a modern medical education system with Tsinghua style of "value shaping, ability training and knowledge imparting", thus contributing to serving the strategy of healthy China and promoting the development of human health.

In response to the development strategy of healthy China and the action plan of healthy China 2030, combined with Tsinghua University's "double-first-class" development strategy, Clinical Medical College has formulated "Innovative Medicine and Education in Tsinghua" (referred to as "Time Plan"), aiming at cultivating outstanding medical talents, innovating the development strategy, mode and path of clinical medicine, promoting the construction of medical, teaching, scientific research and subject talents as a whole, and creating and developing outstanding clinical medicine with international standards, China characteristics and Tsinghua style.
