Unfortunately, however, this year he suffered from typhoid fever and stayed in bed for five months. Since then, his left leg has been paralyzed. However, he is not pessimistic and discouraged, but stubbornly studies hard. On one occasion, he found that Professor Su Jiaju's paper on solving quintic algebraic equations was wrong: the value of a determinant of order 12 was incorrect, so he wrote his own calculation results and opinions into an article entitled "Why the solution of Su Jiaju's algebraic quintic equation could not be established" and posted it in Shanghai Science magazine. 1930 This article was published in Science magazine when Hua was only 20 years old. Xiong Qinglai, then head of the Department of Mathematics at Tsinghua University, saw this paper and greatly appreciated it.
