The Third Affiliated Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University (Stomatological Hospital), the School of Stomatology of the Fourth Military Medical University and the Institute of Stomatology of China People's Liberation Army, located in Xi 'an, the ancient city, were founded in 1935. Its predecessor was the National Dental College of Nanjing Central University, which was founded by China people themselves. Now it has developed into the only dental institution of higher learning in China People's Liberation Army.
