Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, founded in 1955, formerly known as Beijing Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, is the first post and telecommunications institution in People's Republic of China (PRC), under the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. 1960 was identified as a national key university by the State Council. 1993, renamed as "Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications".
