The south campus (old campus) is in Xingang West Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou, the east campus is in Guangzhou University Town, and the north campus (Zhongshan Medical College) is on the other side of Dongfeng Road.
Sun Yat-sen University was founded in 1924 as a national Guangdong University, founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the father of our country. Later, it was renamed as "National First Sun Yat-sen University" and "National Sun Yat-sen University" to commemorate the founding of the People's Republic of China. The school is now a famous university directly under People's Republic of China (PRC), the State Council, Ministry of Education, National Project 2 1 1, 985 and the Education and Training Plan for Excellent Legal Talents. It is a comprehensive university that aims at a modern university and features five disciplines: humanities, management, science, medicine, applied technology and engineering.
