Rouge Kou is an anti-war drama directed by Zhao, Zhao, Zhao and Zhao.

Synopsis: 1937, the Japanese army launched a full-scale war of aggression against China, which aroused the strong patriotic enthusiasm of the Chinese nation. Blue Rouge, a progressive young woman in Shanghai, and her college classmates also took to the streets, calling for boycotting Japanese goods and supporting frontline soldiers. But because of a publicity campaign, Rouge happened to be involved in the Sino-Japanese confrontation.

Regardless of her own safety, she actively ran for the war of resistance. After making meritorious military service, she wants to be a soldier and serve her country. After joining the Kuomintang, Rouge experienced great and small battles, but found the negativity and degeneration within the Kuomintang.
