HONS stands for Bachelor of Honours. Undergraduate students in Britain are divided into five grades: first-class honours bachelor's degree, second-class honours bachelor's degree, second-class honours bachelor's degree, third-class bachelor's degree and passing bachelor's degree. The first category accounts for 5% of the total degree, and only the best students in top universities can get it.
