In any of the following circumstances, it is generally not considered to transfer to a department or major.
(1) Students in Grade 3 and above;
(2) For some specially designated disciplines, the school sends people to interview and assess the admitted students;
(3) entrusting and guiding students;
(4) Students who have been promoted from junior college to undergraduate course.
Students who apply to change their major or major should receive the Approval Form for Students to Change their Major or Major in Peking University from the Academic Affairs Office of the college/department, fill it in truthfully, and submit it to the proposed department/department for registration together with the report card after being approved by the college/department leader. Students take the examination of changing departments and majors with their student ID cards. Each department announces the examination results, submits the student transfer approval form to the Academic Affairs Office for approval, and then the Academic Affairs Office informs each department/department of the approval opinions and announces them to the students. Students who decide to change their major or specialty must take the final course examination of the original college/department. Those who fail the exam without reason shall be dealt with according to the relevant provisions on the management of student status, and their professional qualification shall be cancelled. At the beginning of the next semester, the Academic Affairs Office will go through the formalities of changing departments to majors, and students will report to the school/department.
