Jakarta National University is a public university in Jakarta, Indonesia. Established in 1964. Its predecessor was an education college that trained teachers professionally. In 1999, it was officially transformed into a national university by the Indonesian government. The university has four campuses in the east and south of Jakarta, the main campus is located in Rawamangong, and there are eight colleges.

At the beginning of 20021,Jakarta national university (UNJ) obtained excellent certification. According to the local laws and regulations in Indonesia, Jakarta State University meets the requirements of excellent accreditation level, so it is rated as an advanced accreditation level, and its education major has even obtained A-level qualification certification, among which sports major is the only university in Indonesia that has obtained European AQAS sports certification.

Degree and non-degree courses

The university offers 44 study programs in 29 departments of its 6 colleges. This course includes a series of undergraduate programs, graduate programs and doctoral programs. In addition, the school also offers non-degree courses. For non-normal students who are interested in teaching, the school provides courses through Akta-5 project.

The undergraduate program includes courses with credits from 144 to 160, and the course completion shall not exceed 14 semester at most. Bachelor degree in education, with corresponding degree. Non-education majors award degrees in fields suitable for their study and application.

Undergraduate students are selected through the National College Entrance Examination (UMPTN) or through the "interest and ability tracking" system. In addition, many departments, including physical education department, visual arts department, music department and dance department, require students to take special exams before they can be admitted.

Postgraduate education includes 36-credit courses, which should be completed within 4 to 10 semester. The doctoral program includes 40-credit courses and should be completed within 5 to 10 semester. Some departments offer a variety of non-academic education courses, including diploma courses in science and technology education and Akta-4 diploma courses for non-education majors who are interested in high school education.
