This is not completely consistent. I have seen many parents who can't read, but their children can read well. If your talent is average, but you work hard, you can still achieve something. Some talents are good in themselves, but you can't make progress by playing, so you can't learn. To say the least, even if you don't study well, you can still achieve something if you come from society and work hard. Work hard and your destiny is in your own hands.
