Nanguang College of Communication University of China was established in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province in 2004 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is also the only applied university of media art in Jiangsu Province. Adhering to the initial intention of running a school for public welfare and repaying the society, the Board of Directors hopes to turn Nanguang into a first-class communication university in China and a century-old prestigious school with international influence.

The school is located in Jiangning University Town, Nanjing, a national high-tech industrial park. It is located at the south foot of Fangshan National Geopark, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, adjacent to the Upper Qinhuai Wetland Ecological Park. Known as "the most beautiful campus in Jiangsu". The university covers an area of three blocks with a total area of about 705,300 square meters.
The architectural style is western-style and modern.
