Shaanxi Normal University implements the "2+2" undergraduate talent training mode. The reform of "2+2" undergraduate talent training mode is the trend of higher education reform, a rational choice made by schools to meet the needs of higher education and social development, and a necessary means and an important way to effectively improve the quality of teaching and undergraduate talent training.

In the "2+2" undergraduate talent training mode of the school, in principle, general education is carried out in the first two years on the basis of first-level disciplines according to major categories, and students mainly study general education curriculum modules and subject-based curriculum modules; In the last two years, professional training was conducted. Students mainly study professional course modules, teacher education modules (professional skills modules) and practical teaching modules. After one year of enrollment, students are diverted to a major, and they can re-select a major (except special majors) between disciplines and within disciplines, and the proportion of transfer-in and transfer-out is controlled within 10% (if there is any change in the professional diversion method, it shall be implemented according to the new national policy). The school's "2+2" undergraduate talent training model has two levels of general education. The first is the general education at the school level, which is mainly reflected in the general modular curriculum designed by the school as a whole; The second is the general education at the college level, which is mainly embodied in the subject-based modular courses designed by the college.

The general module course is the platform course of the school, including compulsory general courses and elective general courses. General compulsory courses mainly include college foreign languages, computer basics and programming, college physical education, ideological and political theory courses, advanced mathematics and college Chinese. General elective courses include public limited elective courses and public elective courses, which are divided into five series: humanities and social sciences series, science and technology series, teacher education series, art and sports series and health education series. At the same time, the core public elective course "Professor Lecture Hall" was launched to improve the teaching quality.

The module course of discipline foundation is the platform course of the college, including two parts: the basic courses of related disciplines and the basic courses of this discipline. The basic module course of discipline must be offered in the first semester after freshmen enter school, and it can be offered across disciplines and majors. The basic courses of this subject are the same as those set by colleges for each major (direction), and the course content should emphasize the foundation.

Professional modular course is a professional platform course, which is independent and can form an organic whole to adapt to the professional characteristics and professional orientation of talent training, mainly including professional compulsory courses and professional elective courses. Specialized elective courses include specialized limited elective courses and specialized elective courses. Specialized limited elective courses offer multiple groups of flexible courses according to the characteristics of the major, and each group of courses represents a research direction or series of the major. Professional elective course is a general elective course in colleges, which is set up by colleges to fully tap and integrate the curriculum resources of their own units. Students of all majors in the college are free to take courses.

Teacher education courses are mainly designed for normal students, aiming at cultivating normal students' ability to master advanced educational concepts, professional attitudes, professional identity and lifelong teaching from the perspective of teachers' professional knowledge, skills and professional ethics. As an open curriculum module, teacher education course can also be selected by non-normal students. For non-normal students, professional skills modules can be set up to deepen the professional skills of disciplines.

The practice module includes three levels: first, the basic practice of cultivating students' basic skills and quality; The second is the professional practice with vocational training as the main content; The third is the comprehensive practice of cultivating students' innovative spirit and ability to solve practical problems. At the same time, we should organically combine decentralized practice with centralized practice, actively explore and implement new modes of educational practice and mixed group educational practice, and cultivate students' innovative spirit and practical ability.
