South China University of Technology has two campuses: the old campus is Wushan campus, and the university town campus is a new campus, which started in 2007. At present, almost all freshmen are freshmen in the university town campus, and engineering majors have moved back to the old campus since their sophomore year. The whole University of Economics, Trade, Arts and Law has been in the campus of University Town for four years.

There are 10 universities in the university town, and South China University of Technology is one of them. Well-known universities in Guangdong, such as CUHK, China Normal University and Guang Mei, all have campuses in the University Town. Since 2007, new students have settled in Guangzhou University Town, with unified planning and very neat.

Second, the school of architecture:

Formerly known as the Department of Architectural Engineering of Li Qin University, it was founded in 1932, merged into the Engineering College of National Sun Yat-sen University in 1938, and established the Department of Architecture of South China University of Technology in 1952. 1979 set up a comprehensive first-class architectural design and research institute. 1997 the school of architecture was established, which consists of architecture department, civil engineering department and architectural design and research institute.
