The middle school affiliated to Southwest University, referred to as "the middle school affiliated to Southwest University" or "the middle school affiliated to Xida University", is an educational experimental base of Southwest University and a member of the middle school affiliated to Normal University of the Ministry of Education. 1978 was listed as the first batch of key middle schools in Sichuan province, and 200 1 was listed as the first batch of key middle schools in Chongqing.

The middle school affiliated to Southwest University was founded in 19 14 (in the third year of the Republic of China), formerly known as "Sichuan Provincial Second Normal School for Women"; 1939 (28 years of the Republic of China), renamed "Beibei No.2 Middle School"; 1952 was renamed as "Middle School Affiliated to Southwest Normal University", and 1985 was renamed as "Middle School Affiliated to Southwest Normal University"; 20 1 1 was renamed as "Middle School Affiliated to Southwest University". Since the fall semester of 20 15, the middle school affiliated to Southwest University has stopped enrolling students in junior high schools. On 20 15, the middle school affiliated to Southwest University was handed over to Southwest University for management.
