Private Nantong University was renamed as private Nantong College in June 1930 1 1 because it was a non-textile college in the University Organization Law of the Republic of China. Private Nantong University was formed by the merger of private Nantong Medical University, private Nantong Textile University and private Nantong Agricultural University on 1928.
