Specialty Introduction of Tibetan Language and Culture College of Northwest University for Nationalities
Tibet Language and Culture Institute has three levels: undergraduate, master and doctor. The postgraduate program of Tibetan language and literature was established in 1979, with four research directions: Tibetan literature research, translation theory research, Tibetan ancient literature research and linguistics research. The China Master of Arts program for ethnic minorities was established in 2002, with two research directions: ethnic arts and religious arts in China. The doctoral program of Tibetan language and literature was established in 2003, with three research directions: Tibetan language and literature, Tibetan ancient literature and Gesar studies.

Undergraduate majors are Tibetan language and literature, modern secretarial science, Tibetan-Chinese translation, and business administration (Tibetan-Chinese bilingual).
