Beihang University, referred to as Beihang University, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Ranked among the first-class universities in the world, 21key universities in engineering and 985 project were selected as outstanding engineers in Everest Plan and 201plan.

Beihang University was founded in 1952, formerly known as Beihang University. It was formed by the merger of the aviation departments of Tsinghua University, Beiyang University, Xiamen University, Sichuan University and Chongqing University. 1959 was designated as a national key university, and 1988 was renamed Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in April.
