Southwest University for Nationalities (SMU), located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is a university directly under the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People's Republic of China. It is jointly established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), the China Academy of Sciences, the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and the Chengdu Municipal People's Government.

Wuhou, Airport and Taiping Park cover an area of nearly 3,000 mu, with 24 secondary colleges and 85 undergraduate majors. Postdoctoral mobile stations 1 unit, 3 first-level disciplines authorized by doctor's degree, 24 first-level disciplines authorized by master's degree, and 14 professional degree authorization points; 6 national specialties and 10 provincial specialties;

There are nearly 3,000 faculty members, including nearly 500 doctoral tutors and master tutors, and 52 experts who enjoy special government allowances from the State Council. There are more than 30,000 full-time students from 56 nationalities. The dormitory of Princess Building in the airport campus is divided into four rooms and five rooms, all of which are on and off the table, with a large space and a separate bathroom. Except for preparatory courses, most students live in Wuhou District, and most of them live in the airport campus.

The school has an excellent geographical location. Now undergraduates are all in Shuangliu Campus, next to Shuangliu Airport. It is convenient to go to the city center by subway, and the surrounding entertainment facilities are also complete, with everything to eat, drink and have fun. The preparatory course is in Wuhou campus, on the first ring road, close to Wuhou Temple and Jinli, which is very convenient. You can wait for the school bus opposite the south campus library, and the school bus will travel to and from the new and old campuses.

There are public toilets and bathrooms on every floor of the South District. There is cold water in the bathroom, but no hot water. There is a bathroom on the first floor of each unit. Each bathroom has 10 small bathroom compartments with built-in shelves, showers and meters. There are light control switches and ventilation switches in the bathroom. There are three washing machines on the third floor of each unit.

There are two football fields in the airport campus, north and south, with a covered court (basketball court, table tennis court and badminton court) in the middle.
