Tianjin Railway Vocational and Technical College is not a second university, but a junior college.

Tianjin Railway Vocational and Technical College was established in May 2005. It is a full-time ordinary higher vocational school approved by Tianjin Municipal People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It was formed by the merger of Tianjin Railway Engineering School and Tianjin Railway Branch Staff Training Center.

Tianjin Railway Vocational and Technical College, formerly known as Xiao Tian and Tianjin Railway Sub-bureau Staff Training Centers, was built in 195 1 respectively, and was one of the first national schools. Tianjin Railway Engineering School 1958 and 1960 received undergraduate education and were founded by Railway Institute and Beijing Railway Tianjin Engineering Institute. The staff training center of Tianjin Railway Sub-bureau, represented by 1 UNESCO RL, has trained more than 80,000 college graduates for the country.

Tianjin Railway Vocational and Technical College is a locomotive driver training base in computer applications and software's technical specialty field and construction industry skill training road, which is determined by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Information Industry, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Railways respectively.

1995, the college undertook the construction of the 15 professional skill appraisal station for railway-specific jobs, which can identify 38 railway-specific jobs with five grades of junior, middle and senior workers, technicians and senior technicians. In 2005, No.61Tianjin National Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute was established, which can appraise 42 general jobs of junior, middle and senior workers.
