Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine is a national "double-class" university and a high-level university in Jiangsu Province. It is a university founded by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and state administration of traditional chinese medicine. Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, founded in 1954, is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China. Since its founding 64 years ago, Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has sent the first batch of teachers, presided over the compilation of the first set of teaching materials and syllabus, and gave birth to the earliest teaching staff in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, which has made important contributions to the establishment and popularization of the new China higher Chinese medicine education model and is known as the "cradle of higher Chinese medicine education" in China.
