Yunnan University is one of the first 42 world-class universities in China. It is a national key university listed in the sequence of universities directly under the Ministry of Education and "jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Yunnan Province". It is listed as a double-first-class, 2 1 1 project, one province and one school, a comprehensive strength improvement project for universities in the central and western regions, and a basic capacity building project for universities in the central and western regions.

Selected into11/plan, excellent legal talent education and training plan, excellent engineer education and training plan, national innovative experiment plan for college students, and national postgraduate plan for building high-level universities. He is a member of the National Key Construction University (Z 14) in the central and western regions, and is a scholarship recipient institution of the China Municipal Government for overseas students in China, with independent enrollment qualifications.

Brief introduction of Yunnan University:

Yunnan University, referred to as Dayun for short, is a key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Yunnan Province. It is a national "double-class" and "21/project". It is one of the earliest comprehensive universities in the western frontier of China. The school is located in Kunming, Yunnan Province, and its motto is "self-respect, knowledge, justice and practice".

As of March 2022, the school covers an area of 4,367 mu, with two campuses, Chenggong and Donglu. The construction area of public schools is 1.33 million square meters, and there are more than 3,000 teaching and administrative staff (excluding affiliated hospitals). The school has 27 colleges, 10 research institutions, 1 0 affiliated hospitals and 1 0 graduate schools. There are 82 undergraduate majors, and ethnology and ecology have been rated as Class A disciplines of the Ministry of Education.
