Wuhan University of Science and Technology, referred to as "Wuhan University of Science and Technology", is located in Wuhan, Hubei Province. It is a university jointly established by Hubei Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Education and six national super-large enterprises. It is a "double-first-class" university in Hubei Province, and it has been selected into the national "Basic Capacity Building Project of Universities in the Midwest", the plan of introducing talents for academic innovation in universities, and the national plan of cultivating college students' innovation and entrepreneurship.

As of May 2020, Wuhan University of Science and Technology has hosted more than 320 national projects such as National "973" and "863", National Science and Technology Support Plan, National Key R&D Plan, National Natural Science Foundation and National Social Science Foundation since the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", and won more than 0/00 provincial and ministerial science and technology (social science) achievement awards.
